Over the last few years, online shopping has become an essential part of our lives since stores often have a wide range of different products and discounts online. Thanks to human overconsumption, now we have millions of plastics, paper, and cardboard packages piled up on doorsteps since more and more people prefer to buy their stuff on Amazon and eBay. Waste and pollution have also increased during the pandemic, but reducing consumption and recycling our packaging will automatically reduce our carbon footprint. The world around us is at constant risk because of the overconsumption of natural resources, climate change effects, and pollution.
How can we recycle all the packaging?
First, take your packages and separate all those bubble-lined plastic bags, paper envelopes, cardboard boxes, tape, and air pillows according to their composition.
Most of the packaging materials are 100% recyclable waste, so you can place them in your recycling cart (blue or green); in contrast, some other materials are not recyclable, and you must drop them in the black landfill cart.
Give your waste a second chance!!!
- You can use big cardboard boxes and paper envelopes to store clothes, ornaments, books, etc.
- Those air pillows, packing paper, and bubble-lined plastic bags will keep your stuff protected while traveling or relocating.
- You can reuse paper or plastic packaging bags as regular garbage bags.
- Packaging material can be helpful to all your DIY or artistic summer crafts.
