What Are the Key Components to a Server?

Let us start from the beginning...!!! Servers are basically like large central computers that store, retrieve and share information among other computers.

In this post, we will show you the key components to a sever.

1.Mother Board

First and most important, the motherboard is the heart of all servers. Why? Because all other components of your computer are connected or attached to the motherboard.

2.Memory

All programs in your computer are executed in memory, so don't scrimp on it. New servers can support from 4GB up to 1.5TB, but we will not give any suggestions because this decision must be based on your own requirements.

3.Hard Drive

•SATA drives can store thousands of files, but they are also slow to boot up and retrieve data. Servers take either 2.5” or 3.5” drives.

•Solid State Drives (SSDs for short) offer far superior read and write speeds to increase performance.

*Without questions, SSDs drives are faster and much better than SATA drives.

4.CPU

As we've outlined, the motherboard is the heart of all servers, and the CPU is the brain. There are many different brands of processors in the market, but our favorites are Intel and AMD.

5.GPU

While the term GPU sounds just exactly like CPU, they are completely different. The Graphics Processing Unit is used to accelerate the rendering of graphics applications. Conclusion? All those dealing with artificial intelligence, visual effects, big data, and creative production may need a high-end GPU.
