Saturday nights in the '90s were fantastic!! The best weekends were when we went to pizza hut or McDonald's for dinner, but our late-night trips to Blockbuster to pick out movies and candies were the highlight of every Saturday night.
Do you miss those experiences?
Well, renting a movie involved going to a DVD rental kiosk like Redbox or Blockbuster, and it was great because we had the chance to get some popcorns and candies, but it also took us a lot of extra time and money. Although older people still miss this experience, now streaming platforms and food delivery apps are our best partners on those rainy or cold days. Now, you don't have to wait until the weekend to watch a movie because Netflix, HBO, Prime Video, and even YouTube offer a wide variety of films. Also, thanks to uber eats, door dash, or grub hub, now you can enjoy food from your favorite restaurants with a simple click.
It is fantastic to see how much technology has changed our lives and food habits, but unfortunately, this find, grab, and get system has also increased eating disorders and food waste.
How to reduce food waste?
Personalized food based on individual likes and dislikes can be an excellent alternative to reduce food waste over the upcoming years. Well, I'm still waiting for a new AI robot that can clean, cook, and walk the dog, but for now, we are all still responsible for preparing our meals.
Trust me, I love Uber Eats as much as you do, but please stop ordering excess food that will eventually end in the trashcan. It is time to care about our food habits and what is leftover.!!
