Women who work in the tech sector frequently suffer from discrimination. The percentage of women working in US tech companies has largely declined over the last years. These issues also exist at the highest levels of the tech business, because there are many women that used to work on the tech giant Microsoft, and they said that there are no opportunities for growth in this company.
Due to misogynist discrimination and the coronavirus outbreak, Google has recently announced that it will offer free tech classes to women. The classes will aboard tech information and the development of digital abilities. Google will also provide tools and information to businesses that are led by women.
Google’s new project attempts to help women that are working or studying from home. The classes will start on September 7, and here we give you the complete schedule:
September 7. Women Will: Women's leadership and empowerment.
September 8. Tools to entrepreneurs
September 9. Free Tools to feel safe on the internet
September 10. Tools to start in the tech world
September 11. Women: challenges and opportunities during COVID-19
September 12. Women working from home, and tools to stay connected
Fortunately, such as Google there are still many tech organizations that promote gender equity between both women and men. Tech should be available for everyone in this world, with the same tools and opportunities. it is amazing to see that big and small companies are working to fade gender discrimination in the role of tech.
