One of Tesla’s recent promises seems like it will become true soon. Recently at the Battery Day event, Elon Musk spoke about his new ideas that would be implemented in the company. He talked about the upcoming battery innovations, a new car that would be cheaper, the 2021 model S, and many others.

Here we give you a brief resume about Tesla’s event:

With the purpose of increasing the battery’s efficiency, Tesla will be using laser-patterned foils. The patterned foils will reduce the distance the electrons have to travel, and the battery will be more efficient than the traditional models. Tesla is also on its way to eliminate the use of cobalt in its batteries. These improvements on the manufacturing process means a giant step into the tech world because it will be innovating at a zero-waste point. The idea of performing improvements on the battery is focused on reducing battery cells’ cost and in this way, Musk could be fulfilling another promise made before: building a $25,000 fully self-driving electric car, that will be similar to model 3.

What about MODEL S? The Model S will have a range between charges of 520 miles, and the best part could be its top speed of 200 mph. The Model S will be able to get from 0 to 60mph in less than two seconds. Tesla’s CEO also settled that these specs would be in 2021 model S and its price will only be $139,990.
